what a Blessing you MICKEL & SARAH have been in my life, i always enjoyed sitting & listening to all your stories, LOVED your sense of humor. Thank you for your kindness to me & Jack, taking time to be with us in His suffering with cancer. then last year on your Birthday , JAN. 8th when you invited me for dinner with you & Sarah, i felt loved, it meant so much to me...I'm here for her!

Mikel and Sarah knew me when I was a 'Jesus freak', and watched me turn away, and move away. When I came back and was in 'dire' straits, Sarah invited me back to church, and Mikel helped in my regaining my faith. I love You Mike. See you there.

Every time we saw Mikel, whether in church or around town, he ALWAYS went out of his way to greet us warmly and genuinely. The little things like this can make a huge impression on others. He really made us feel like family, that we mattered to him. We will remember and miss his awesome laugh and huge smile. The greatest comfort now is knowing he is with his Saviour...praise God!

Hey pops,you and I had our days now didnt we,but always you were there for me and lent me your ear and offered me you love and hugs when I needed them,these two people (Mikel and Sarah) and my 3 bros took me in and made me a part of their family....I love them more than anything...I have one word for you POPS ok 4 Cream of corn waffles...YUCK...I will not forget you nor your open heart,LU

My favorite story of Pop's is the one he told me about when he was an altar boy in the Catholic Church when he was a kid. (Hard to believe already, I know, but true nonetheless!) At any rate, he was there, performing his altarly duties, when Jesus literally stood there right in front of him and said to him, "I love you son."

Thus began Dad's lifelong belief in and faith in Jesus Christ.
