Journey of Life

Georgia Mae Waller was born September 4, 1944, in Meriwether County, Georgia, to the late Clarence Copeland Sr. and Ella Lee Copeland. She was the third of nine children.

Georgia joined Valley Grove at an early age, attended Meriwether County Training School (MCT), married the late James Waller as a young adult and later moved to Ohio. After divorce, as a single mother, Georgia worked as a Seamstress, Home Health Aide and attended ICM Business School.

Georgia was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Some of her proudest accomplishments were raising her 4 girls to become 4 women, dedicating herself to her family and tailoring designer clothes labeled, “Especially made by Georgia”.

Georgia completed her life journey on May 3, 2013 and has transitioned from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Clarence (Betty) Copeland Jr. and Johnny Copeland Sr., brother n law: Robert Ellison.

Zenobia Bass (James), Janet Waller (R.D.), Sonia Waller, and Deborah Waller, all of Gwinnett County, GA; Four sisters: Ella Ellison, (Pine Mountain,, GA), Doris (Richard) Harris, (Cochran, GA), Mary (Gene) Reed, (Decatur, GA); Patricia Pinkston, (Manchester, GA); two brothers: Arthur (Brenda) Copeland, (Manchester, GA), Willie (Anne) Copeland, (Talbotton, GA); a sister-in-law: Julia Copeland, (Woodbury); one aunt: Fannie Weaver Hobbs (Talbotton, GA); Five grandchildren, Christi (Dennis) Crump, Candice Waller, Brandon Waller, D’Shawn Francis, Kyera Francis, and one great-grand daughter, Alyssa Crump; a niece dear to her heart, Michelle Owens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
