Gerald Person White, 73, a longtime resident of Vance County passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.

He was a native of Granville County, the son of the late Joseph Royal and Ernestine Frazier White. He graduated from Stovall High School and attended East Carolina University. He served his Country in Germany with the 2nd Armored Calvary Border Patrol from 1966 to 1968. He was a lifelong member of Stovall Baptist Church. He retired as plant manager at Puralator in Henderson and also was a manager at the ABC Store in Henderson for many years. Gerald enjoyed boating, fishing and living on the lake.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, 2016 at Stovall Baptist Church by Rev. Eddie Mauldin. Burial will be in Stovall Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his wife, Vickie Hall Fuller White of the home, a brother, Joe Ben White (Norma Rae) of Oxford, a sister, Julia White Capps of Sanford, two step-sons, Joseph Hartwell Fuller (Cynthia) of Rocky Mount, William Ashley Fuller of Haw River and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie White Faucette and a brother David White.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. at Stovall Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
