Dear Aunt G
It is hard to believe it was a year ago today that you passed on. We often think of you. Jason was noticing the ornaments you gave me we hang on our Christmas tree. I loved getting those from you every year. There was a lot of thought and love put in to each one. We also spoke of you on my and Dave's Birthday recently. Valerie got me brand new candles this year and we laughed and said Aunt Geri is proud of us!
Hugs

Auntie G - Really listening, no matter your own burdens.
Countless hours you contributed to my life advising me with your wisdom and love. You guided me down the right path on several trips I had found myself on through out my life - stopped me from turning left as you wisely pointed me in the right direction & you always had me laughing along the way. Miss You beyond belief.

Not possible to say goodbye to you yet without feeling much pain in my heart. Today you are proud of the beautiful service put together for you...and us. It was great to hug family who all are missing you as well. There was tears, laughter, beautiful music, great photo memories, along with stories both serious and funny. All in all, an amazing day filled with all our love for you forever!

So many memories of good times together. I will miss the long sister talks, sharing our problems and joys. Many times we would end up laughing hysterically over crazy memories we shared.      You supported and encouraged me during the hard times and I could always count on you for advice or an encouraging hug. I miss you so much .I don't think the pain I feel will ever go away.

The hitchhiker

January 10, 2013

I was having a very stressful time in my life and (of course) I called my sister Gerri to seek her advice and comfort. She said " pick me up and we will go for a ride and talk about it" As we were driving along we spotted a young hitchhiker beside the road. "Why don't we stop and give him a ride, he is carrying a guitar" she said. I pulled over and she rolled down the window and asked him if he could play any John Denver songs." My specialty" he said. So down the road we drove. The three of us singing all of the John Denver songs we could remember. Turned out he was a student teacher at Western in Bellingham and quite harmless. Later when we talked and laughed about it, we decided it was really kind of a crazy and risky thing to do but it worked to cheer me up. We always wondered what kind of a story he told others about the lift he got  from the two middle aged sisters.
