"My Gertie"..you were a nurse in the maternity ward when I delivered my first child, scared, in pain and screaming my head off...you would walk by my room, look in and smile...and say YOUR NOT READY YET...there are plenty more stories but those are memories, miss you

Aunt Gertie, you'll forever be in my prayers. I have so many fantastic memories of you and treasure all the stories my mom shared about her big sister. I get a tear-filled smile when I think of the two of you getting into mischief in heaven.

Gertie, you are truly missed, I miss your smile and remember so many things like me yelling your name down the hall when I was in labor and you were the nurse who had other patients but I wanted you to stay there with me and you thought that so was funny. I enjoyed staying with you to babysit when you lived in Seat Pleasant and Morning Side. I will never forget "the monkey" I also remember and appreciate all of the wonderful food you made for me when I got married. I loved your potato salad and Steve loved your stuffed cabbage rolls. You were such a good cook. Love and Miss You
