Being the manager of an apartment complex in Weatherford, Oklahoma at University Park Apartments, mom had plenty of stories.  Here is one of my favorites.  She had just been walking the property for whatever reason like she had done a million and one times.  She knew that property like the back of her hand but this time something caught her off guard.  It was a giant hole and she fell in. Thankfully she had the wireless office phone in her pocket.  She took it out of her pocket and called a friend.  When her friend answered, Mom said, "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!  She was an amazing story teller and I loved her sense of humor. :)

Mom came to Lawton to pick Garret up for the weekend.  As they were stopped at the toll booth on the Kilpatrick Turnpike to pay the toll, Garret hollered out the window to the person working the toll booth, "I want chicken and french fries please."

My Mom had to come and pick up Kenny, Shelly, and I every other weekend. When we were younger she seemed to always have cars that didn't have a working radio, or it seemed like it anyways.  These are some of my fondest memories with my Mom.  We would sing our own songs like three little angels, the ants go marching, yes, we have no bananas.  I always looked forward to our rides to Tulsa, Weatherford, or where she was living.
