Glenn Jones Davis, 67, a resident of 2579 West Lyon Station Road, Creedmoor, NC, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home.

 

A native of Cumberland County, the son of the late John Wesley and Bertha Jones Davis. He was of the Baptist faith and a self-employed aviation crop dusting pilot.

 

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor by Rev. Floyd Jackson.

 

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Yvette G. Davis of the home, a daughter Lynne D. Allen (Kent) of Wake Forest, a son, Jeffery G. Davis (Julie) of McDonough Georgia, two sisters, Gladys Ferrell of Durham, Dorothy Denny (Harold) of Roxboro, four brothers, John Davis (Martha) of Wake Forest, Bobby Davis (Patricia) of Oxford, Donald Davis (Brenda) of Stem, Ken Davis (Shirley) of Creedmoor and two grandchildren, Stephen Allen and Kimberly Cargile. He was predeceded in death by a sister, Lou Merritt and two brothers, Harry Lee Davis and Wilbur Davis.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Sunday evening, December 19, 2010, at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home.
