Grace Estes Abele born in Oak Hill, West Virginia on December 30, 1939 attended Greensboro College in Greensboro NC graduating in 1961 with a degree in Education. She went to Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base to teach 5th grade, met and married William R Abele in 1962.

After 3 years of teaching she had three children and was a home maker. After the children were grown, Grace did volunteer work with the American Red Cross and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. Grace and Bill enjoyed volunteer work at the Church of Ascension.

Grace's passions included, shopping, gardening and playing Bridge with her various clubs, some she's been a part of for more than 30 years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
