Greg Kirk Lowry, 73, a resident of Granville County died suddenly Thursday, February 28, 2019 at UNC Hospital.

He was born July 16, 1945 in Tampa, Florida to the late Woodrow and Leila Lowry, but was raised in Mission, Kansas.  He was a member of Banks United Methodist Church and was a retired accountant and teacher.  He loved sports, plays and listening to the Blues.

Memorial services will be held Monday March 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at Banks United Methodist Church by Rev. Mark Gustafson .  A reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.  Interment will be private.

Surviving are his wife of twelve years, Patty M. Lowry of Oxford; three children, Kirk Lowry, Kelly Lowry, Damian Lowry; and four grandchildren all of Warner Robins, Georgia; brothers, Dennis Mitchell of Lenexa, Kansas, Jerry Lowry of Blue Hill, Maine; step-daughter, Joyce Davis of Tampa, Florida, step-son, Jeffrey Davis of New Jersey and two step-grandchildren.
