May we remember Greg as being firm in his faith, dedicated to family and friends, full of adventure, and all the while never allowing his circumstances to hold him back from following his dreams.

With his family by his side, Gregory Earl Petersen of Fall River Mills, CA, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2010, having fought a courageous four-year battle against cancer. He was born in Tremonton, UT on May 6, 1963, and was a long-time resident of Rocklin before moving to Fall River Mills in 2006. Greg was a well-respected contractor. His superb carpentry skills enabled him to build beautiful wood furniture items for his friends and family and a beautiful home in Fall River Mills for his wife and daughters.  Greg was full of life, adventure, and fun.  He was an avid Para-motor flyer among many other outdoor pursuits.  He was a generous and devoted friend to all.  Greg especially loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Greg was a counselor in the Fall River Mills Ward bishopric at the time of his death.   He was a man of strong character, courage, and committment that will always be remembered.

Greg is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Sheri Lynn Petersen; his four daughters—Ericka, Brianna, Malia, and Linnea; his parents—Dee and Carolyn Petersen of Knights Landing; his four brothers—Timothy of Rocklin, Jonathan of Roseville, Chad of Woodland, and Cory of West Jordan, UT; his four sisters—Jami Lee Davis of Macon, GA, Shanna Martin of Roseville, Mette Marie Beach of Woodland, and Tiffany Petersen of Knights Landing.

"Greg is still in my thoughts so very often, and yet I was only privileged to know him for less than a year. What a man!   He had me when I first met him to do work at my 150 yr old home. He picked up a dead bat. I screamed. He laughed."

"Sheri, I remember so well when you told me that Greg was the model husband. How you would be in distress and he would sense it and be a comfort and support to you just like Lehi to Sariah in the wilderness. What a joy it was to serve with him and Brothers Scott & Shillingberg for three years. He always gave me good counsel and was always faithful and diligent in his duties. A great man."

"Every now and then, someone comes along whose light illumines a dark world.
Every now and then, someone comes along who inspires us to soar!
Every now and then, someone comes along who graces the world with kindness.
Every now and then, someone comes along whose humility gives us a roll model to follow.
Every now and then, a lone eagle comes and beckons us to rise!
God bless you Greg forever!"

"Several years ago I found a "trike" listed for sale that that was IT! Drove over to see it--love at 1st sight.  Bought the machine and he became my friend @ instructor.  Over the last 6 mos I'd get "that" feeling that I needed to call him.  Talked to him just a few days before the 23rd, when I really felt the need to call but "life" got in the way.  I'll always regret that & will miss him always."
