Her Life

Miss Gwendolyn Dale Stowes, was born on July 15, 1962 in  Dadeville, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Coy and Francis Ford Stowes.

On Sunday, April 19,2015 at 11:06 P.M. God sent an angel to  Russell Hospital to return Dale home to Heaven.

She was affectionally known to everyone as Dale.

Dale confessed Christ at an early age and joined Haven Chapel
United Methodist Church in Dadeville, Alabama. After moving to
Alexander City, she joined Greater Temple Church under the leadership of
Rev. L.W. Miles. She continued her Christian fellowship and united with
Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in New Site, Alabama, where she
served as kitchen chairperson and a member of the choir. She was faithful
in her service until her death.

She was educated in Dadeville, Alabama and was a graduate of
Dadeville High School; class of 1980.

She was employed with the Alex City School system as a food
service manager for over fifteen years. She was currently employed with
Radney Elementary School. She was a dedicated worker and enjoyed the
children and her fellow employees.

Let all your things be done with charity. I Corinthians 16: 14. She
was a talented woman who enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with
family, helping friends and strangers. She showed her love through her
many kind acts. Her family was her joy.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Angela Stowes.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Mr. Antonio
(Pamela) Stowes, Ms. Shanquina Thomas of Alexander City, Alabama, Mr.
Jermaine (Samira) Stowes of Knoxville, Tennessee; six sisters, Clarista
(Charlies) Sanders of Italy, Texas, Carolyn Stowes of Alexander City,
Alabama, Sharon (Micheal) Harris, Janet Cox Pearson, Glenese (Woody)
Willis all of Dadeville, Alabama, Carol Philpot, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
four brothers, Melton (Janet) Stowes of Alexander City, Alabama, Gary
Stowes of Camp Hill, Alabama, Nathan Stowes of Talbouton, Georgia,
Cedric Wise of Alabaster, Alabama; six grandchildren, Jerleccia Stowes,
Janice Stowes, Jermaine Stowes Jr., Ra'Leighn Thomas, Neneceia Kelley,
Brandon Kelley; three great-grandchildren, Ja'Harmony Kelley, Tinsli
Kelley, Talan Boone; a niece and nephew she helped raise, Carneal us
Stowes and Angelette Stowes; one great aunt, Mildrew Johnson of
Dadeville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
