This man is of Cambodian-Chinese dissent and was tortured because he was "racially corrupt". After he escaped the harsh brutalities of the Khmer Rouge, he settled in United States and worked. He acted in The Killing Fields, a movie that will tell his story, and Dith Pran's story, for generations to come.

The Adversities

June 8, 2013

Throughout his life, Haing S. Ngor suffered many gruesome sights. He watched his wife die in agonizing pain because she was in labor and needed a C-section.
Performing the duty would have exposed himself as educated and all three of them would have been killed so he watched her life wilt away in anguish.
