Pain is what I felt today.
My heart just hurt remembering my father all day.
I am sure I know why.

I forced myself to get out of bed,
I can’t lie.
I managed to do my job in kind.
I kept to myself as much as possible,
so no one would know how much it hurts
The hurt was like a beating drum,
I know where this pain coming from.
The pain from father’s memory
Whom we used to call Baji out of love

He was a role model for us
He sacrificed his life for his nation and his family
