Last year, at this time, daddy and mommy came out to spend Easter with us. It was daddy's first time seeing the baby so he was very excited. He was going to make Easter dinner so we took a trip to Costco where he bought about 10 whole chickens AND a lamb roast. He stayed home from church that day to make sure that everything was perfect and that dinner would be ready. By the time everyone arrived dinner was on the table ready to be eaten. There was so much food left over that even the people at work had lots to eat throughout the week. Daddy was in his element. He loved cooking and feeding people and he was good at it! That was the last weekend I got to spend with my dad and the last Sunday meal he would prepare and share with me. It was also the only time he got to spend with his grandson in person. Daddy filled our stomachs then and fills our hearts today. He was so happy.
