They walked home she laid down to take a nap and when she woke up was unable to walk. Dad took her to the Dr and not only was there a huge lack of Medicine and  faciliities so lacked the inteligence of the Dr that advised her to give Bernice and Jesse to someone else to raise buy a wheelchair and give up on life. At first she was upset and depressed but then she was always taught to accept things as they happened deal with them One Day At A Time. And decide to go on with her life. She in 5yrs would have another daughter Rebecca Fritts and 3more sons William Michael Fritts, Daniel Thomas Fritts and James Edward Fritts. Needless to say if she was the type of person just to give up you wouldnt be hearing this story and many people in our family would not be here either. As I said she is the strongest woman I have ever known.

She retuned from Georgia married, happy, and in so much trouble with Grandma and Grandpa. So much in fact they absolutely refused to help them in anyway because back then you didnt marry unless you already had a job  and a house first.Grandma and Grandpa wouldnt let Dad live under their roof and George Fritts felt the same way. So Dad contacted his brother Fred in Richmond Indiana to stay with him and his wife Anna til he got a job and a place for them to stay. He began a job at Wayne Works building buses. Meanwhie in Tenn she realised she was pregnant and 9mos later on August10,1947 she delivered Frances Bernice Fritts.  She became impatient waiting on Dad to send for her so she gathered her daughter her clothes and by bus went to Indiana to start her new family as planned. Needless to say she surprised Dad quite a bit. Eventually they moved out on their own and she discovered she was pregnant again, and this time it would be a boy delivered on February 23,1949 and his name would be Jesse Eugene Fritts

She is the first of 6 children born to Claude Alexander Silvey and Pearl Mae Silvey in Loudon county Tennessee, USA  She was raised in the depression which most people would say poor her but that hard earnest life that she was raised in made her to be the strongest woman I have ever known.

She helped her mother raise Frances,James(Bud),Margaret, and William and there would have been another brother but Granma decided the wood needed to be cut while she was pregnant and lost him in the woods.                                                                                                                                                                                                 She soon would meet the Love of her life Jesse M Fritts but as had happen to many people at that time WWII came about taking him away til April of 1946 and after he made it home he asked Hazel to Marry him. And we all know what the answer was. But her being only 16 Granma and Granpa said no , so she ran away with Frances and her boyfriend Lee Anderson( who also returned from WWII) to Georgia to Elope (September 11,1946                  Stay Tuned for Hazels next life episode
