Her Life

Mrs. Hazel “Muh” Pritchett was born April 22, 1923 in Bullock County. She was the tenth child and only girl born to the late Henry and Viola H. Still .

Muh confessed Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church better known as Brucefield because of the community where the church was located. She served faithfully at Bethlehem Baptist Church until her health failed. When she was just as small child she was put on a table and led the church in prayer. She was also a Secretary and Usher at the church. Her church and her pastor were her love. She attended when her health allowed her in last years.


Mrs. Pritchett was also preceded in death by her husband, Jake Pritchett; brothers, Nugene, Grady, Bennie, James, E.P., William Henry and Graft; one niece who was reared like a sister, Sarah Robinson; one grandson, Kenneth Mayo; one great-grandson, Renner Austin.


She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Mattie (Le'mon) Bradford, Willoughby Hills, OH, Mary Mayo, Saginaw, MI, Betty Youngblood and Delois Pritchett, both of Union Springs, AL; four grandchildren she reared, Calvin (Diane) Pritchett, Union Springs, AL, Debra (Reginald) Jackson, Beavercreek, OH, Renner (Laura) Pritchett, Grand Rapids, MI and Jerome Pritchett, Hudson, OH; other grandchildren, Danette Allums, Bedford, OH; Karen Bradford, East Cleveland, OH, Le'mon Bradford, Euclid, OH, Robert (Antoinette) Pritchett, Auburn, AL, Courtney (Krystal) Pritchett, Phenix City, AL, SMSgt. Ricky (Gloria) Youngblood, Beavercreek, OH, CSM Craig (Phyllis) Youngblood, Cibolo, TX, Robert (Beverlea) Youngblood, London, England and Tracey Youngblood, Union Springs, AL; thirty-two great-grandchildren; twenty-two great-great grandchildren; one special nephew, Brian (Carolyn) Still, Montgomery, AL; a special friend who adopted each other as sisters, Gatra Wiggins, Union Springs, AL; extended family, the Bandy family and Julie Johnson family; other loving caregivers like family, Ethel Anthony and Veronica Ree Howard, both of Union Springs, AL; a longtime friend, Patsy Pritchett, Union Springs, AL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and good neighbors.
