Mrs. White was born Monday, March 11, 1935, in Greenwood, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Brightie Hamback and Arthur Fletcher. She was a graduate of Camden High School and a member of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. White owned and operated Hazel’s Daycare.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James W. White and her son, James Eugene White and is survived by her children and their spouses, Timothy and Michelle White of Opelika; Sandy and Howard Carlton of West Point; Denise and Phillip Brown of West Point; Larry and Tammy White of West Point and Edney and Tina White of West Point. She has 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
