I remember seeing my first movie “Bambi” that my father took me to see.  I was so terrified when the fire came that I burst into tears and he had to take me out to the lobby and buy me an ice cream to calm down. We didn’t go back in but caught the ferry boat home.  He would take all of us kids to the occasional movie and on the milewalk home would end up carrying the sleeping ones, one on his back and one in his arms.
