Helen Irene Anderson Verheyen-

Born March 8, 1926 in Blossburg, PA to Carl August Anderson (Long Valley, PA) and Hilda Sophia Bloom Anderson (Arnot, PA) was deceased July 12, 2014 in Escondido, CA.

Helen is survived by three daughters, Karen (Harry) Carter of Falling Waters, WV; Susan (Phillip) Sweet of Wellsboro, PA, and Lisa (Steven) Cassidy of Rancho Santa Fe, CA.

Helen was preceded in death by husbands; Jack (John R) Wilcox of Greensboro, NC; Bob (Robert) Eberle of East Liverpool, OH and Harry Verheyen of New Haven, CT.

Memorial tributes made be made in Helen’s honor to Mountain Shadows Foundation (www.mountainshadowsfoundation.org). Helen’s family will be using her memorial tribute funds to renovate a home on the campus of Mountain Shadows in Escondido, CA. Mountain Shadows provides housing and services to developmentally disabled adults. In her honor Helen’s family has arranged for funds donated to Mountain Shadows to support her legacy as a homemaker and a mother. “Helen’s House” will be home to 6 mentally and/or physically handicapped adult women. “Helen’s House” will give residents comfort that comes only from a mother’s heart.
