I once watched my dad hand over his tax refund to a couple of family friends just because they needed the money. It was about $800.  I remember he didn't make a big deal about it and didn't discuss why they needed it.  He just knew they needed it.  He didnt' ask to be repaid and never mentioned it again.  He was the kind of friend a friend would like to have.

Dad loved to smoke his pipe.  We loved that smell of Captain Black's Cherry Tobacco.  This pic was taken on the back deck at Billie Hall's mobile home.  Another good friend that is dearly missed.
