Hilda Hockaday Harding, 82, a longtime resident of Granville Co. passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Brantwood Nursing Home in Oxford.

Hilda was a native of Wake County and the daughter of the late James Hockaday and Gracie Ray. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from Schrader Manufacturing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor, NC. by Rev. Dan Hill. Burial will be held at New Light Road Cemetery in Wake Forest.

Surviving are two sons, Ricky L. Beck of Creedmoor and David E. Beck (Phyllis) of Oxford, a brother, James Hockaday of Arkansas, a grandson, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Harding, two sisters, Ellie H. Turner and Betty H. Perry and brothers Thurl Hockaday and Jodie Hockady.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home of Ricky Beck.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church, 4024 Old Weaver Trail, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
