Howard J. "Jimmy" Brown, 80, Harbour Heights, passed away at Tidewell Hospice House, Port Charlotte on Friday, April 17, 2015.

He was born at home May 19, 1934 in Philadelphia PA to Anna (nee Potter) and William I. Brown, Sr.. He was raised in Hulmeville, PA, and attended the old Langhorne High School. In Pennsylvania, he was a heavy equipment operator. In Florida, he was employed by Presbyterian Homes of Port Charlotte, retiring from there in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine (Mickey) McDermott; 3 children, Jim Brown, Harbour Heights, Catherine (Dale) Parrish, Deep Creek, and Bridget Brown, Punta Gorda. He also has 2 children in New Jersey from a previous marriage, Delores Burgess and Howard (Jimmy) Bouffard; brothers, Donald (Diana) Brown, Arizona, and Gary (Carol) Brown, Spring Hill, FL; grandchildren, Katie Parrish, Jeanine Giuliano, Kelly Parrish, Brian Brown Gottshall, Samantha Brown, and Alexandra Fesender; New Jersey grandchildren Katlyn, Samantha and Kimberly Bouffard; great grandchildren, Michelle Parrish and Isabella Giuliano; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and William Brown, Sr., brothers, Bruce Brown and William Brown, Jr., sisters, Joanne Brown, Barbara Lear, and Jean Meich, and grandson, Jeffrey Parrish.

Jimmy will be deeply missed by his very close and loving family. A memorial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Jimmy may be kindly remembered at www.icscremationandfunerals.org
