Ingrid was my momma growing up. I was 4 months younger and 5 1/2 pounds at 2 months of age, Ingrid protected me and played tug of war and guarded my like the Aussie's do. Living with Ingrid for 13 years, leaves a soft spot in your heart. Never confrontational, a peace loving heart in her.

The star of her obedience class, Mrs. Kinnamon was a strict German teacher who specialized in German Shepherd and Rottweilers, she picked Ingrid out of 12 other dogs to be the demonstrator of commands because she was doing so well in her class. It took only 3 weeks to crate train her. Truly a smart and loving girl.

Loved laying in the grass in shade

Her favorite place was at the Marina by the river. She would lay there for hours just staring at the peaceful river and the boats, enjoying the breezes that would flow off the water. Up to the end she tried to walk at the waters edge even though her legs were giving out on her. Never whined, never complained or showed fear. Her last vacation to N. Carolina under the big pecan trees and chasing the squirrels was one we all will never forget and I am glad she had that time with me.
