Irena Lewandowska, a woman of such admirable courage, strength and sincerity, taken from this world, from those who loved her so greatly on the 10th June 2006. 12 at the time, and it being my first close family member death, I was awfully cut up, and now, at 17, I strive to remember her until I meet the same fate. She was an amazing woman, who had such an ordeal in her early years in life, her country plundered into war. She never complained at all, and lived her life with a smile on her face. She is and always will be an inspiration to me. I love her so much, and I want her to know that, wherever she is now - I always will.

Though you were called to rest, Babcia, we won't forget you. Not me, or Krysia, or Andrzej or Basia.

I know I won't. I promise.
