Mr. Irvin Edward Belton,80, of Rose Hill, NC died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Vidant Duplin Hospital, Kenansville, NC. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday, May 31,2014 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 348 W. Church St, Rose Hill, NC with Pastor William Raynor officiating. Interment will be in the Middleton Cemetery, Kenansville, NC. Visitation will be Saturday 2 hours prior to service(11:00am to 1:00pm)at First Missionary Baptist Church, Rose Hill. Mr. Irvin Belton was born in South Carolina to the late Mr. Robert and the late Mrs. Edith Belton. A few short years after finishing high school, he joined the United States Navy in 1955. Mr. Belton was married to the former Cleopatra "Cleo" Carr for 57 lovely years. He was preceded in death by one child, Cleo Chantal Belton Proctor. He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Cleopatra Belton; five children, Barbara Belton, Frankie Belton, Gary Belton, Lee Belton, Charlotte Belton; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Lawhorn; sister-in-law, Margie Belton; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
