May God be Pleased with the life and legacy of Chief Little Bear. He was a great inspiration to me when i met him in Los Angeles, California over 19 years ago. I still have the dream catcher that the gave to me after he told me such a wonderful story about dreams. May his spirit live on on the hearts and minds of us who love him and his many years of service to help a fallen humanity!

My world is so dim without you Pops. I miss you more each day. I know you help me through the dark days when I miss you the most you're spirit always lets itself be known to me. I try not to miss you too much because I don't want to disturb the wonderful time you must be having in your heaven. I know you must be aware of the emotional and physical challenges I've been having and how there about to get much more difficult in the coming weeks. I'm scared not having the physical you here to wrap me in those big Bear arms and tell me it's going to be o.k....how I miss the smell of cigar and sage that you carried. My only peace that I do have is if I don't make it I'll be seeing you soon. I haven't had a good debate in a long long time. Lord how I miss that laugh. I'm sure you and auntie Irene and all of our Apache kin will be waiting there for me soon or in years to come. Can't wait. I love you.
Your eldest......Ina A. Urquidi......Peche's daughter.

Greetings-- We give Praise and thanks to Allah- The Most High for giving to us our Elders who serve as beacons of guiding light. When I think of Chief Little Bear, I remember that whenever he met me, he always imparted words of light and wisdom. It does not seem like he has been gone from among us for two years. Regardless, he with us in spirit. As I write these words, I am looking at a beautiful pair of earrings that he gave me over 10 years ago. They are shaped like the wings of a bird and remind me of his gentle spirit every time I wear them. Again, we thank our God for our Beloved Brother and Elder "Chief Little Bear". May Allah Be Pleased with Him. Peace Be Unto the family .

This is for my "Pops" who I will miss with everyday that passes and every breathe that I take until the day that I hear his voice once again. You were and will remain the brightest light. Those that were lucky to be a part of you and be witness to your presence now feel lost and in the dark without your light to see them through. We will keep you with us always.
