Travels with Grandma
January 6, 2021
I remember you and grandpa taking me to San Xavier mission when I was little. I don't really remember being there, but the photos we have documented our activities. You let me go one of those pony rides. You had me all decked out in moccasins and an Indian head dress. Riding that pony was amazing and sparked a love for horses. The smell of them and the thrill of them. 10 years after that, I was breaking and training quarter horses even I had never been around them before growing up. Your love of horses was in my blood. A lot of you is in my blood. You're stubborn will, your fighting spirit, your desire to care for those around you and a true knack for always staying busy. You raised me and left me all too soon. You left a huge impact on my life that could never be replaced. I just pray I have half the influence and impact on my kids that you had on my life. You were one of a kind and I am so very blessed that you were MY grandma.
