Mr. J. B. Ragland was born February 5, 1945 in Heard County. He was the third of seven children born to the late Willie B. and late Primmer Ragland.
J. B. was a graduate of Central High School, the Class of 1962.
J. B. joined Elim Baptist Church at an early age.
He was a devoted painter for twenty plus years, until his health failed him.
J. B. is precede in death by his father, Willie B. Ragland and mother, Primmer Ragland; brothers, Willie (Sonny); Joel, Jr., and James Ragland; and wife, Lula Mae Ragland.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a very special devoted friend, Miss Harriett Bolton; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Holland (Shea); sons, Mr. Timothy Ragland, Mr. Dexter (LaTasha) Ragland, and Mr. Darrell (Brittany) Alexander; step-daughters, Miss Kaquela Bolton, Miss Keenya Bolton, Miss Nakia Strozier and Miss Jermicka Edwards; eight grandchildren, Dai Qelsha Brown, Martez Hayes, Hannah Cousey, Jamarcus Harmon, Tierra Hand, Jaylen Florence, Jevonte Holland and Dariyona Alexander; sister, Miss Shirley Ragland; brothers, Mr. Larry Ragland and Mr. Howard (Cheryl) Ragland; aunt, Alee McClesky; uncles, Leno Blandenburg and Frank Wortham; sister-in-laws, Ms. Jimmie Ann Ragland and Ms. Dorothy Griffin Ragland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
