Mr. Brown was born in Randolph County, Alabama, Thursday, July 28, 1927, the son of the late Eunice Whaley and George Thomas Brown. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II. Mr. Brown retired after 23 years in the Purchasing Department of West Point Pepperell. He was a charter member and Treasurer of the Fredonia Fire Department and a member of the Fredonia Community Club. Mr. Brown was also a member of the Fredonia United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy C. Brown and several nieces and nephews.
