His Life

Teen Years

Told many stories of his job as a paper delivery boy and how his dog Tippy would ride along in a basket on his bike.  Participant in Indiana DeMolay, an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy, and productive lives. Graduated from Central High School, Class of 1957.  One of his favorite high school stories was about selling cans of beer out of the trunk of a car at high school football games with the sheriff's son.  Upon graduating from Central High School a semester early, and against the wishes of his mother and grandmother, he joined the United States Marine Corps. 

Childhood

An only child, born in South Bend, Indiana on January 18, 1939 by C-Section to Ann-Mae and John.  Grew up in South Bend, Indiana.  Adorded and spent alot of time with his Nanny.  Told stories of shopping in downtown South Bend, visiting his Dad at work at the Morris Inn at Notre Dame, and playing with his friends at around the downtown area, such as Tippecanoe and Studebaker Mansion.
