His Life

James Alfred Lane Sr., passed on Monday October 1,2012.
He was born September 5th 1931 in Miles Hts., Ohio to the late Paralee
Spence Lane and Harold Lane, they had nine children.
James attended school in Cleveland Ohio. He later joined the United States
Army at the age of 18 where he served for quite sometime as a Military
Police Officer. James met and married the late Eileen Debreaux Hailey in Washington
D.C. With this union they raised seven children. Their marriage ended after
20+ years. In 1983 he remarried to the late Brenda Freeman Lane until she
passed away in 1997.
James worked in the prison system as a guard and later on for Lower Merion
Township in the Public Works- Highway Dept. for at least 22 years. He was
also a member of Leon Spencer Reid Post #547 in Ardmore, PA., in which he
was often called papa.
He had two daughters that proceed him in death, the late Vickie Marie Lane
and Carol Renee Lane. He leaves to cherish in his memory: five daughters -
Diane Wiggins, Linda Coleman, Tracey Ayers, Carmella Artis, April
McClennon; one daughter in law Heike Lane; two sons - James Lane Jr. and
Darrell Lane; one son in law Tony McClennon; host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
He will always be remembered for his creativity and sense of humor.

The Family
