The day after my first son was born! I called my dad to see if he would come up and have dinner with me,they use to give you a steak or shrimp dinner for two at Hilcrest hosp. when you had a baby! Most had dinner with their husbands,but I was single. Since I had decided to name my son after my dad I figured that was a good time to ask him if that was ok.Anyway he came up and my dad really hated hopitals, he got faint when he went in one! lol so I felt lucky when he said yes! I think he about passed out though when I told him I wanted to name my son James! Because he started choking on his mini apple juice(in a mini champaigne bottle) and said I guess so then he got up and left the room!lol

There I was thinking "oh crap! oh crap!"

Then he walked back in sat down and finished eating,grinned at me and said "so are you and little Jimmy going home tomorrow?"

"Need a ride? Or will you mom be here to get you?"

On my 13th birthday I will never forget my dad took just me out to Cimmaron Steak House! We set at thefront and I got to order anything I wanted. Then we had cheesecake with chockalate and rasberry toppings! But the finale came later when Kris Kristoferson came over to our table and sang Happy Birthday to me! My dad just sat there grinning and shaking his head then he would chuckle and grin at me. It was so cool! An he treated me likeI was the only one that matter in the world! Thanks Dad!
