His Life

James Franklin Belyeu (Frank) was bom on January 5, 1935 to the late Mr.
Tim Willis Belyeu and the late Mrs. Lena Mae Cunningham Belyeu Nolen.

A native of Coosa County, Alabama, Frank attended the Coosa County
Training School in Cottage Grove, Alabama.

He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Mount Sinai Baptist
Church inAlexander City, Alabama, where he served as Usher (president),
Sunday School Treasurer, and Deacon (Chairman). He served and attended
faithfully unril death.

On December 27,1953, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ruby Lee
Goggans. This wonderful union was blessed with six children.

Frank was a hard worker, great provider, and strong disciplinarian. He was
a man of few words, but when he spoke he was direct and straight to the
point. He said what he meant and meant what he said.

On Thursday, July 31,2014, Frank departed this life at Russell Medical
Center in Alexander City, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-one years, parents, three
sisters, and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory:
Six children: Mr. Joe N. (Jackie) Belyeu, Mr. Ben F. (Lawanna) Belyeu, Ms.
Doris Gamble, all ofAlexander City, Alabama; Mr. Gary Belyeu of Lanett,
Alabama, Mrs. Lubecca S. (Donald, Sr.) Marbury of Alexander City,
Alabama; and Mr. Eric J. (Tamara) Belyeu of Chelsea, Alabama.
Fourteen grandchildren: Beverly (Victor II) Brackett, Tyree (Gary) Smith,
Kimyatta Belyeu, Jerome Gamble, Jr., Joey (Angela) Belyeu, Kelsey
(Lorinza) Kelly, Fallon Norris, Jarvis Belyeu, Jeremy Gamble, Donald
Marbury Jr., Sharlia Marbury, Areil Belyeu, Laeuarius Belyeu, and
Hayley Marbury.

Nine great grandchildren: Javen Smith, Bria Smith, Victor Brackett, III, Jai
Smith, Vonte Brackett, Malia Belyeu, Victoria Brackett, Malik Norris, and
Ayden Nonis.

He also leaves: one sister: Mrs. Haftie Mae Benson of Memphis, Tennessee;
two step-sisters, Mrs. Brenda (Douglas) Lurns ofAlexander City,Alabama
and Mrs. Smithey (Event) Kelly of Bedford Heights, Ohio, one step-brother,
Mr. Willie L. (Bertha) Nolen ofAlexander City, Alabama; four brothers-inlaw,
one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
