My father was a uniqe man for sure and will be missed greatly. My memories of him will keep me strong and even tho i will miss him greatly he is at peace and in a better place with family and friends. One of his graetest passion was his rocks which gave him his nickname when he work for the USDA as Rock, I worked at the turkey plant for a little while and would be nothing for me to hear one of the inspectors to call out and stop me and ask how he was doing. It always gave me such joy to see that so many rememberd him after he retired and ask about him, he was liked greatly and well respected that was for sure. Some of my memories of him was the many trips we took together growning up and after I moved to New Mexico. While growing up we would pack up a camper and head out never knowing where it might take us and who knows what we might see but you could count on one thing if he saw a creek that might yeild a rock it was not long before we were in it looking.I remember on a trip to Texas where dad had to goto school we took off one weekend and found ourselves at the bottem of a hill. We looked up and saw the truck at the top and the knee to waist high grass on the hill and our first thoughts were rattel snakes, we both shot up that hill as fast as we could bounching and jumping looking like gazels, it was a funny sight. You could awlays expect funny stories at family gatherings of things he did thro his life and I know that many have just as many funny memories of him.I have 44 years of memories of my father and I loved him greatly and I will miss him greatly thats for sure LOVE YOU DAD
