It was summer and almost time to go back to school for all 8 of us grand kids. Our grandpa had this idea to take us all to the beach before school was to resume to have so much needed fun. Grandpa got together a couple coolers with ham and cheese sandwiches, sodas and chips and a couple metal fold up chairs for us. He also borrowed his friends camper for the trip. So there we all were riding in this camper listening to music, telling jokes, playing cards and talking about the future. ( just thinking about this and remembering makes want to cry as this breaks my heart.) So we arrive and pile out. We pick a big table in the shade a put everything on it before putting on our sun screen and heading to the water. So we finish up with all of this and start heading to the water. To much of our surprise, grandpa is coming with. Yayy lol. So we're all playing a splashing. Going deep into the water and then trying to come back fast because some idiot( one of our cousins) yelled I think I see a shark lol. Good times though. So now we're playing along with the waves crashing to the bank. We are all up near the shallow water as the waves are coming in. We all now realize that grandpa is sitting in one of the metal chairs taking a break in the shallows. Well what happened next killed us with laughter lol. As grandpa is sitting there, a big wave come and he is pushed backwards out of the chair and starts to float back out with the water lol. We all started to laugh hysterically and even grandpa did. I'll never forget this. Thanks grandpa for everything you ever did for us. I miss and love you like crazy!!!
