Mr. James L. "Sonnie" Crawford of Columbus, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center. He was 83 years old and resided at 5017 Sentry Street.

A native of Seale, AL and the son of the late James M. and Camile Randal Crawford, Mr. Crawford was born March 9, 1931. Residing in Columbus most of his life, he was employed with several companies, retiring as a Envirnomental Technician from Midtown Medical Center and Doctors Hospital. He was a member of Messiah Outreach Christian Family Church.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Crawford and a sister, Lucy Crawford.

Survivors include three loving children, James F. Crawford, Christopher B. Crawford and Bridget "Jean" Pitts(Jimmy); five adoring grandchildren, Latasha Crawford, Yolanda Crawford, Tawanda Crawford, Christopher Gibson and Patricia Pitts; six great grandchildren, De'Quandre Jr, Ja'Niyah, Jaydon, Christopher, Ta'Darius and Zahniyah; a brother, Clarence Crawford(Paula); one sister, Dorothy Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
