His Life

Summary of Life

January 24, 2017

James Monroe Glover, Jr., aka “Pedie,” was born in Long Beach, California to James and Mamie Glover on August 28, 1968.

He was a 1986 graduate of Long Beach Polytechnic High School.  He faithfully served the United States as a Member of the United Stated Air Force, enlisting after his high school graduation, and gave 10 years of allegiance and service to his country. While enlisted, he was awarded numerous honors and was a proud Veteran.

Pedie, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, loved music and his family, but his greatest joy stemmed from fixing and repairing mechanical things, especially cars and motorcycles, which lead him to pursue a career as a mechanic.

He was a Contractor employed as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Abu Dhabi for Advanced Military Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Center (AMMROC).  His love took him around the globe, and he was doing what he loved, even to the end.

In 2006, he married Marilyn Marie Toston in Las Vegas, Nevada.  To this union, no children were born.

On Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the age of 48, James passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

He was preceded in death by his beloved and doting mother, Mamie Glover, in 2001.

James leaves to mourn his wife, Marilyn Marie Toston; his adoring father, James Monroe Glover, Sr.; two loving sisters: Carol Glover and Yvonne Glover-Hewitt; and a host of special friends and family.

May his light continue to shine bright from above.
