My brother

September 29, 2013

My big brother.. by Karen Thornburg
remember when we were children and jimmy and larry pulled me up the road in west wheeling on a baby crib. my thumbs were stuck under the crib and tore the skin off my fingers and Jimmy said you will be fine.. and i still have the scar.. but i am glad . i see the scar and i see him pulling me around.. i remember when he would chase me around the house and up and down the stares .. o how i miss you . i remember when we were teanagers and i tried to get him to go out with my girl frined and hi beat me up for asking him all the time.. o how i love you. i remember the chili that he would make .. i remember how the only time he told me that he loved me is when i moved to nc i can remember he said it . .was five years ago. i moved to nc and he told me he would miss me and he told me for the first time that he loved me. .i cryed like a baby.i love you so very much jimmy.. any other time instead of saying he loved me he would say ya . instead of i love you but i new what he ment.. then the day came when he passed . i had to come home .. to see him off. and i had to pick up his ashes at the parler.. they were so hot he was just creamated.. i lost it.. i love you so very much.. the heat from the ashes will always be with me .. every time i have a cook out and see the ashes i think of him .. he love food and i will never forget you .. i love you jimmy forever and always.. your sister Karen
