The son of Felton, Sr. and Gussie M. Person Wedner, Mr. Wedner was born in Buena Vista, GA on September 16, 1933. He was a member of Wynnton Hill Baptist Church where he served diligently with the Ushers Ministry, and was retired following 42 years as a cement finisher at BHC Pavement Company. He was preceded in death by a son, James L. Wedner, Jr., and five siblings, Felton Wedner, Jr., Edith Wilson, Rose Connor, Leon Hughley and George Underwood, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Sallie Coty Wedner; two sons, Andre Wedner and Reginald Wedner; a daughter, Valencia Wedner-Dowdy (Mark); nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers, Melvin Underwood (Liza) and Harold Underwood; two sister, Nelleen Harris and Martha Hendricks (Steven), loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
