His Life

Jason Charles Gould

January 6, 2016

Jason Charles Gould passed away, unexpectedly, on November 30, 2015 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 43. Jay would likely not want people to feel badly about this, but rather want it to be known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and raising hell for more than four decades. He loved people, social gatherings, rescuing animals and giving to a fault, but mostly he loved people of all sorts. As a friend he was “all in” and wasn't afraid of a difficult conversation. In fact, he wasn't afraid of anything. Jay was an excellent chef, loved seeing new places and meeting unique people. He loathed the mundane but was drawn more to the unusual or uncommon. He had a dry and wicked sense of humor with a perfect balance of New England skepticism. He lived life his own way with no stops, salty language and all. He had a great love for all things collectable and had an inherent instinct for being ahead of the trends in collectibles. Jason had a fascination and expertise in satellite radio, understanding it, in depth. He was a bit of a pirate and we all loved him this way. His generous nature and huge bear hugs will be sorely missed by numerous friends and his big family on both sides.

Jason was born in Palm Bay, Florida and grew up in Salem, Massachusetts, the place he loved the most. Later in his life he moved to Detroit.

He leaves behind his beloved son Dallas Bechard of Danvers, MA, his two mothers, Barbara Norris of Merritt Island, FL and Irene Gagnon (with fiance´, Paul Beaulieu) of Danvers, MA. Sisters, Robin Holland of Tilton, NH, Angel Dehart of Port St. John, FL, Siblings; Ronald Linger of Haines City, FL, James Linger of Danvers, MA, John Linger of Salem, MA, Michelle Leblanc of Landis, NC, Dusty Gagnon of Beverly, MA, Crystal Gagnon of Middleton, MA,  Alisa Gagnon of Danvers, MA, numerous nephews and nieces, his beloved cat and many dear friends.

His family and close friends will celebrate his life at a private event a later date.
