Mama it's hard to believe you've been gone 5 years. We all still miss you and love you. We'll continue to move ahead. TIL WE MEET AGAIN!!
Jean Daniel Jones, 71, a lifetime resident of Butner passed away Friday March 7, 2104 at her home.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late John and Mildred Daniel. She was a retired secretary from John Umstead Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. March 10, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Butner by Pastor Charlie Bryan and Rev. Lennie Rogers. Burial will be in South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-three years, Herman (Whitey) Jones of the home, three daughters; Barbara Rayborn, Eloise Bailey (Donnie), Cheryl Klinefelter (Barry), one son, Thomas Jones (Susanne), nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Watkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Butner and at other times the home.

Just heard of Ms. Jeans passing. I am so sorry. She was such a sweet and loving person and a mother who loved her children fiercely. May God give u all comfort at this time. Ms. Jean will be missed.

I am so sorry, for all of the family. Jean was a special lady, and very special to me. I have to work on Monday, and will not make it to say good by. I will and have said my good by in prayer. I know she is with the Lord, and we will truly miss a very special lady, here on earth. God be with each of you.
