Jeffrey Scott Bailey, 35, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.

Scott was the son of Larry Spencer Bailey, Sr. and Dagmar Keeton Bailey. He was a member of Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church and worked in the heating and air business for several years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. John Yount and Pastor Diana Bobbitt. Burial will be in Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Surviving other than his parents are two brothers, Spencer Bailey (Lacey) and Lee Bailey (Teresa) all of Oxford; fiance, Jessica Bowling and a daughter, Scottlyn Bailey of the home, and her brother, Zander Bowling; grandparents, George and Gladys Bailey; nieces, Mary Bailey, Emma Bailey, Teri Smith and a nephew Allan Gary Smith, III. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Thaxton and Emma Keeton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Marrow’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, in care of Marshall Tingen, 9034 McDuffie Rd., Oxford, N.C. 27565.
