Jerel there's not day that have went by without me thinking of you cuz! It may be the simplest things but it always bring a smile to my face when I think of the way you call my name. I miss you cuz and today was one of those days that I had you on my mind. I know you would either be done came by the house or my second job so we can just talk! My heart is heavy by just thinking how Brenda and your brother and sisters are feeling without you! I will forever miss and love you!

Jerel was not only my friend, but he was one of my daughter, Ranley Clayton's mentors. He took her under his wing and helped coach her through five years varsity Basketball and softball at Horseshoe Bend High School. His mentoring did not end when she graduated in 2013, but continued until the day he left this earth. Through text messages and facebook messages, he was always checking on her and making sure she was okay. That is just who he was. I will surely miss his contagious smile and warm hugs, but I'm a better person for knowing he was a true friend. He will be missed, but never forgotten. May God Bless each of you during this time. Until we meet again Crayton! Love you Bud!
