Jermone Leon Harris was born on October 28, 1938 in Union Springs, Alabama to the union of Ollie Mae Harris and James Laster. He was the second oldest of nine children.

He loved to fish, work and spend time with friends and loved ones.

Jermone was a great father, great friend and loving husband.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories six loving children: Leon Harris, Jerriton Harris, Tyrone Henderson, Devin Smith, Kendrieka Smith and Katasha Eldermire; twelve grandchildren: his siblings: Sally Grear, Bythina Ivery, MaLinda Harris, Clemmetine Gibson, Bertha Laster, Joyce Harris, Oscar Laster and Walter Harris; best friends: Gloria Pitts and Karen Clemmons also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
