His Life
March 16, 2014

Mr. Jerry Lee Thomas, the son of the late John and Ella M. Chatman Thomas was born September 19, 1958 in Chambers County, AL. He departed this life on March 9, 2014 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Marrietta, GA.

Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

Jerry was united in Holy Matrimony to Shelia Strickland and into this union four children were born.

“Lil Bro.”, as he was known to many, was a product of the West Point Public Schools. After his schooling, he went to work with Mr. Step McQueen in the pulp wooding industry. While working with Mr. McQueen, Jerry grew into a hard working young man. He later became employed by the Corps. of Engineers at the West Point Dam. After relocating to Atlanta, “Lil Bro.” worked with his independent lawn service. When he was completed with your lawn, it was well manicured. His work would have you amazed.

God blessed Jerry with so many gifts and he would willingly share his knowledge with others by always helping anyone that needed him, “NO MATTER WHAT.” Jerry never met a stranger; he always treated one with respect. He was a very fun and loving person. He loved his children and his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Sally Lu Johnson and an uncle, Fletcher Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: three sons, Jerry (Davasha) Thomas, Jr., Anthony (Tameika) Strickland, West Point, GA; Ryan Keith (Elizabeth) Thomas, LaGrange, GA; one daughter, Maria Thomas McFarland, West Point, GA; four grandchildren, Ryan K. Thomas, Jr., Keinardia M.
