"Words will never express how much Jerry meant to me and to Nelson. Becoming his friend was followed by loving him like a brother. He was kind hearted and always had a smile on his face and a funny word to say. We shared so many fun times and created many memories that I will never forget. He was such a fighter throughout his illness and was so brave. He will always be a part of my heart."
"Shirley, Jerry was a fighter his entire life. We cherish his friendship. He will be missed, both John and I are thinking about you. We will never forget the happiness he had when we took you and Jerry to the reenactment in Virginia. That made him happy and it will be a lasting memory that we will cherish always. He was our special locksmith friend, always helping others, what a good man."
