Jesse L. Kagan was born on September 26, 1978 in Willingboro, NJ. He succumbed to illness on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, having fought a courageous fight. He died at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ under the care of the dedicated PICU staff.

Jesse lived at home for 30 years until it was necessary to relocate to Medford Care Center. There he was surrounded by loving and dedicated people.

Jesse is survived by his parents, Ed and Susan Kagan, his sister and her husband, Dana and Aaron Kozak, his brother and his wife, Seth Kagan and Melinda Moskal, two nieces, Bria and Charlotte Kozak and one nephew, Miles Kagan.

Jesse inspired much love and admiration in his life. The people who helped care for him were drawn to his warmth. He will be missed by many. Jesse brought many caring, loving and dedicated people into the life of his family. We are grateful for this.

Funeral Services will be held at Steelmantown Cemetery Natural Burial Preserve, 100 Steelmantown Rd., Woodbine (Steelmantown), NJ on Saturday, March 26 at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring 1 flower from their garden, yard or neighborhood.

In lieu of of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to CASA-CGS, 350 Front St., Elmer, NJ 08318 or on their website: www.wespeakupforchildren.org.  CASA is a community based organization that supports and protects vulnerable children, advocating for them in court and elsewhere.

Dear Ed, Sue and family....Every time I think of Jesse I think of a gentle soul with a loving family. I think back of those times so long ago when our kids would play together and Jesse was always there bringing smiles to everyone who met him. He’s forever in our hearts.

May you have a day of peace....the peace that surpasses all understanding and only comes from God. There is forever a hole...a missing and empty piece...when we lose someone we love so dearly. My brother's birthday ( OUR brother's birthday !) was Friday...it brings up pain and loss. But our Lord is our Comforter, and I pray He surrounds you all with His comfort today and always.
