Jesse Thomas “Tommy” Harris (April 30, 1953-December 30, 2017) died on December 30, 2017 at Avante SNF in Thomasville, N.C.
Jesse graduated from Barton’s College in Wilson with a B.S. in Art and from Durham Technical Institute with a degree in Design Engineering.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, George F. and Annie Laura Harris of Oxford; a brother, George F. Harris, Jr. and sister, Shirley Harris Moore.
Surviving are: sister, Patricia H. Hayes (Allen Black) of Apex; sister-in-law, Peggy (Ron) Bracy of Oxford; nieces, Kristi Harris Terlep and son Oliver of Wilmington; Stephanie Matthews (Brian) and children, Cole and Lyla of Stovall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Hester Baptist Church by Dr. Jeff Hensley. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:00 P.M. at the Church.
