His Life

The son of the late Willie L. and Littie Hardison Kelley, Rev. Kelley was born in Chattahoochee County, GA and a graduate of Cusseta Industrial High School and Ft. Valley State College. He also attended the Theological Seminary School. He retired from Civil Services, Ft. Benning, GA, as well as, with Enrichment Services, Columbus, GA. He was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church where he served as president of the Usher's Ministry, and a served with the Columbus Ministerial Alliance. He pastored Zion Watt Baptist Church in Lumpkin, GA.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Brown, and four siblings.

Survivors include: his wife of 24 years, Mrs. Brenda J. Walker Kelley; his children, Kenneth, Leroy, Jessie, Jr., Dennis, Lindell, Reginald, Kevin, Elizabeth, Bernadette, Teresa, Brenda and Renee; 45 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert F. Kelley; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Frankie Walker; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
