Mrs. Jessie Mae Mitchell Andrews was born in Alvaton Georgia, on August 26, 1940. Better known as Jay, joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Jessie was the daughter of the late Roosevelt & Alice J. Mitchell. Jessie was born into a large family of nine sisters and two brothers. Jessie was employed with Newnan Hospital for several years. Jessie later moved to Florida where she met her husband Andrew. Jessie had a love of traveling, in her early years; she leisurely traveled from state to state. Jessie loved and praised GOD with all her heart; never had natural kids of her own however, she cared for all her nieces and nephews, like they were her very own. Jessie helped raise several of her great nieces and nephews as well. Jessie had a very loving and kind spirit, would do whatever she could to help someone along the way.

Jessie leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Leroy Mitchell, Six sisters, Leatrice (James) Ferrell, Beatrice Ferrell, Annie Lois Foster, Rosetta Smith, and Jeanette McGill. A host of nieces and great nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, relatives and friends.

Jessie was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, and four brothers-in-laws, John Henry Mitchell, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, Betty Jean Hunt, Thelma Alexander, Dora Lee Burden, Eddie B Foster, Eddie James McGill, Blount Ferrell, and John Smith.
